How Lawson Legal Services collects, uses, and protects your information.
Effective date: November 1, 2026
Lawson Legal Services ("Lawson," "we," "us," or "our") provides process serving, court services, and skip tracing. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through lawsonlegalservices.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
The online form is handled by our own website, not by an outside form service. When you submit it, the website emails your request and documents directly to our office and sends you a short confirmation email. A text copy of the form entries (not the documents) is kept on our web server for up to 60 days as a backup in case an email is delayed, and is then deleted automatically. Uploaded documents are not stored on the website; they are removed from the server once the email is sent. To limit spam, the website keeps a coded count of recent submissions from each internet connection, without storing the IP address itself, for two days.
We share assignment details only as needed to complete your request, for example with the local process server assigned to your matter, or with a court when documents are filed. We also rely on service providers such as our web host and email providers. We may disclose information when the law requires it or to protect the rights and safety of others. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Please send only what the assignment needs. Do not include Social Security numbers, full financial account numbers, payment card details, medical records, or passwords unless a document to be served requires them. Email and web forms cannot be guaranteed completely secure.
We use reasonable safeguards for the information we receive. Assignment records are kept as long as needed to complete the work, support court filings, and meet legal, billing, and recordkeeping requirements. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
You may contact us to ask what information we hold about you, or to request a correction or deletion, subject to legal and recordkeeping requirements. Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional privacy rights; contact us to make a request.
This website is intended for businesses and adults. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
